Call 1669 now if someone
- can't be woken, or is breathing slowly, snoring or gurgling
- has chest pain, a seizure, or is very hot and confused
- collapsed after G (GHB/GBL), especially mixed with alcohol
While you wait: lay them on their side, stay with them, and tell medics what was taken — it helps them treat safely.
Safer use basics
- Never mix G with alcohol or other downers (sleeping pills, ketamine, opioids) — that is how many G overdoses happen.
- With G a tiny extra amount can knock you out. Measure each dose, note the time, and wait at least 2 hours before any more.
- Ice and cocaine push your heart hard. Go low and slow, take breaks, eat, and try to sleep.
- Sip water and take cool-down breaks, but don't drink huge amounts.
- Poppers with Viagra-type pills can make blood pressure drop dangerously.
- If you inject (slamming), use new needles and equipment every time and never share. Don't share pipes or straws either.
- Don't use alone. Agree with someone you trust what to do if things go wrong.
Consent
Someone who is very high, asleep or passed out can't consent. Check in often, and stop if you're unsure.
Sex, HIV and STIs
Long sessions with more partners raise HIV and STI risk. Condoms, lube and PrEP help.
